Health Coaching

I’m often asked what it means to be a Health Coach, and how we help clients to build a better life.

I hope this answers that question.

If case you’re interested in becoming a Health Coach, I’ve added a link below that provides information on training and certification.

— Health Coach Maria Theron

A Health Coach is a wellness professional who works with clients one-on-one or in group settings to help them achieve a healthy lifestyle, more energy, and personal wellness goals including weight loss, resolving digestive problems or sleeping better.

Health Coaches act as a supportive mentor and guide to help clients discover which foods and lifestyle habits boost their unique health, energy, and happiness.

Coaches are accountability partners and even friends who provide unbiased feedback and empower clients to live the lives they want.

Not Just Nutrition

Health coaching is unique as it regards relationships, exercise, career, and spirituality as being equally important to your health as the food you eat.

Often, we find that relationship or workplace problems (for example) turn out to be the cause of digestive issues, problems with sexual performance, or other health and quality of life problems.

Health coaches take a holistic approach to supporting the whole person.

The Need for Health Coaching

We’re in the middle of a global health care crisis:

  • Nearly 30% of the world’s population is obese or overweight
  • 88% of doctor visits do not include nutrition counseling
  • 70% of deaths are caused by chronic illness each year
  • 1 in 3 adults have high blood pressure
  • Only 3% of healthcare funding is spent on disease prevention

Prevention is Better than Cure

In addition to helping you to boost energy, control weight and regain your lust for life, your health coach will help you to find the foods that your body loves and ensure you are getting the right nutrition to help prevent illness and disease.

Sickness can be years in the making. Working with a health coach can help identify problems at an early stage and work to correct them before they become a crisis.
